Bears Ladies vs Royal Navy

The Carvell Coventry Bears Ladies take on the Royal Navy on Wednesday 9th July at their home ground the Old Coventrians RFC Tile Hill Lane kick off at 7pm.

This is the last fixture scheduled fixture against the armed forces and the Bears are hoping for a clean sweep of results against the forces. The Bears Ladies face their toughest game of the season next Saturday against West London Sharks, will take the opportunity of playing some of their inexperienced players on Wednesday to give them some much needed experience.

Coach Michelle Umaga commented on her team selection, “It’s going to be a hard game but we know our players will deliver their very best. It’s been our best season so far and we’ve recruited some excellent players and we look forward to them playing every week for us in the future.

Captain Debbie Drake said, “The Sharks will be a real test next Saturday, that will be the real measure of how far we come this season. It’s free admission on Wednesday night and we hope to see everyone down there to support us.

For anyone wishing to support the ladies on the 12th against West London Sharks there will be a coach leaving the Old Coventrians at 10.15am cost £5 per person.

In 2008 the Bears’ Ladies have already defeated the RAF 46-14 and the Army by 22-18 and look forward to your support at the OC Stadium 7pm on Wednesday as they go for the treble.
