Bears win Inaugural 9's

Carvell Coventry Bears won the inaugural Midlands Rugby League 9’s tournament today.
Teams from Wolverhampton Warlords, Wolverhampton Wizards, Carvell Coventry Bears, Redditch Ravens, St Ives Roosters, North Derbyshire Chargers, and social rugby club Heavy Woolen Donkeys took part in the competition at Old Coventrians RFC this afternoon,
The Bears went through the afternoon undefeated but were pushed very hard by St Ives Roosters in the play off round (12-6) and again in the final with the Bears running out 10-6 winners.
In the plate competition a combined Redditch Ravens/ Wolverhampton Wizards team defeated the North Derbyshire Chargers.

The Bears have now won all three 9’s competitions they have entered having previousl won the Bristol and Kilkenny 9’s tournaments
