COOPER MAKES GB LIONS DEBUT

21. February 2010

Matt Cooper

DEWSBURY RAMS 12 GB COMMUNITY LIONS 16

Coventry Bears loose forward and 2008 RLC Young player of the year Matt Cooper made his debut on Wednesday night against professional championship side Dewsbury Rams for the Great Britain Community Lions. The Lions are looking to narrow their squad with some trial games leading up to further internationals later in the year.
This is a massive achievement for Matt and is a big step up from the England Lionhearts as the Lions comprise of the best amateur players in the country in all of rugby league, winter and summer. We wish him all the best going forward and hope to see him impressing in future games to secure his position in the squad.
