RFL Launch talent centre in Coventry

The Alan Higgs Centre is the new base for the RFL talent centre for the West Midlands

In the new year the Midlands Rugby Football League team will be launching the Regional Player Development Centres (RPDC) in the East and West Midlands. The RPDC’c are part of the RFL’s performance pathway aiming to achieve elite performance and athlete development, targeting under 14’s, 15’s and 16’s across the Country.

The running of the centres in the Midlands is reliant upon community club and volunteers support. To give all interested parties a chance to find out more about the RPDC’s, the RFL’s performance pathway, volunteering opportunities and player eligibility the team will be holding briefings in the East and West Midlands. The briefings will also give any potential coaches or team managers the chance to ask questions and complete a very simple form to apply for the available positions.

The roles available in the East and West Midlands are as follows;

Team manager at u14’s, u15’s and u16’s (one per age group)
Coach at u14’s, u15’s and u16’s (three per age group)

If you cannot make any of the briefings but are interested in applying for the one of the positions please complete the attached form and email it back to me no later than 12pm on December 18, 2009.
