As the season draws near competition for places in the first team are hotting up. With playing numbers at the Bears at an all time high, selection has never been harder.
With a string of impressive new signings and a wealth of experience in certain “veteran” players, it has never been tougher for Head Coach Ty Watson to name an 18 man squad.
“This weeks selection is going to be tough” quipped Watson and “most of the guys have been training since January and are really fired up for Saturday”
The Carvell Coventry Bears are in good health: with the only question marks are over the fitness of Australian duo Scott Clendenning – Fenton and Ty Watson. However legendry full back Mark Hyslop has been ruled out for 6-8 weeks with a broken thumb – ironically injured in a local chess match.
Watson plans to name his team tonight at training………… stay tuned!!!
Remember Saturdays game in Derby is a noon kick off.
